I love self-indulgent crossover RP bullshit but boy I can't imagine asking someone outside of that RP to look at an unedited version and hype it up... unless I'm in a particular community where someone ASKS to see something like that, I guess-- there have been a couple such cases on servers with friends, where some really specific niche crossover had appeal among a group, but like... that's so different from releasing it into the wild.

It's fair to just NEVER like crossover content at all. As much as I love doing my crossover RP stuff with friends, it doesn't mean I'd want to look at someone else's crossover. Even if it was fandoms I otherwise cared about it wouldn't mean they mesh well together, after all. But, there's one multifandom crossover fic series whose unfinished nature haunts me, because I was really enjoying it.
