I really like them.

Fusions, too. Right now, I'm loving quite a few of the Spider-man (generally Holland's Spidey) in Gotham, getting stalked/adopted by the Batfam.

Read a couple of really interesting Mycroft (BBC Sherlock)/Harry Potter, even though I'm quite meh on Sherlock (only watched the first series).

I like to see other fandom's characters pop up on Stargate Atlantis, do the Sentinel/Guide thing, or end up in Hogwarts.

There was one (or maybe two) with Jason Foxtrot going to college with Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes) that I liked. Can't forget the one where Eames (Inception) was Calvin grown up. Or the one where Arthur (Inception) was Cole (The Sixth Sense).

There are still a few that I go back to that were different roles of Due South actors crossed over with each other. Like the one pairing Brian Hawkins (as played by Paul Gross in PBS's Tales of the City, who also played Benton Fraser in Due South) and Billy Tallent (as played by Callum Keith Rennie in Hard Core Logo, who also played Ray Kowalski in Due South).

Sure, I've run into terrible crossover fics, but I've also read great ones. And I don't mind self-indulgent fics as long as they don't go too far with the character-is-obnoxiously-good-at-everything territory (and sometimes even then).
