Genuine question: does this apply to religions other than Christianity? I think I'm a lot more sensitive to discovering people are really into Jesus than I am about, say, discovering they're Muslim or Hindu or neopagan or Buddhist. Probably because of the social and political implications of being openly Christian in the Anglosphere, specifically with regard to Evangelists.
