This is the result of millennials reproducing.

You should see the state of the public school system in the US. Every kid is a list of disabilities, they all have ~reasons~ they can't attempt even basic tasks, and little Braxleighan can demolish half the desks in a classroom without punishment because admin is terrified of Mama Jessica suing the school if she gets a call saying her precious son destroyed property. But she gets even angrier if school has to close and she's stuck at home with her angel.

If you look at the data, the current dip in attention spans etc for students is across the developed world, not just in the US. It tracks extremely closely with widespread smartphone adoption.
