I agree. Some of it could be down to styling but in the submission thread someone mentioned that all faces are symmetrical and that really annoys me. I have rarely seen asymmetric faces in the real world but I see them all the time on TV. A great example is School Spirits where the MC’s face looks like she had a bad accident as an infant and taken to a back alley butcher to fix it. And she’s only one of several cast members with an asymmetrical face. With her it’s so pronounced that it can throw me right out of the scene sometimes. I’m not alone in that; a quick google proves a lot of the audience have had the same experience. People don’t want to watch ugly.

I'd rather watch one thousand people with less-than-perfect faces than hear from one person with an ugly soul <3

Congratulations I guess? I think that’s the response you’re trying for so I’ll give it you. I wouldn’t get too used to seeing ugly people on the screen though. The rest of us are human and watch in HD and the studios are figuring out that the crying on the internet about how everyone is too attractive is just a vocal minority. They’re starting to cast attractive people again, thankfully.
It’s worth noting that acting ability doesn’t factor in at all. Bella Ramsey is an outlier for being an amazing actor who isn’t attractive. It’s the same with attractive actors. They didn’t stop casting attractive people because they wanted better acting, they only did it because they don’t understand the internet and thought audiences didn’t want to see attractive people anymore. And fewer people than ever are watching as a result.

DA

Methinks you've confused correlation with causation, here.

This is such a weird comment. Like who watches TV and thinks about if an actors soul is ugly or not?

I was talking about the person whose comment I was responding to. So to be perfectly clear, I don't care what a person looks like as long as they don't spew bullshit

We know. Just as I do that you don't own a mirror.
