I mean, yeah, I'm Australian and I'm older so seeing it in print does make me jump (it absolutely still is used IRL, but not in print anymore, so I would be hesitant to call it "outdated"). I would rather not see it written out without the slashes, or see it as "omegaverse". But also I'm not into that trope so I'm not going to show up and bother people when they call it that.
