Get anything done? Got some great relaxing in?

I got a lot more done on my stegosaurus. I hate everything about him but I know it is just because it is my first needlefelting project and I see everything I did wrong. ;_;

I definitely know how that goes with my own work (I have unpicked so much embroidery this week) but I love him!

Pleasingly less cartoony than most needle-felted animals I’ve seen and you got some good subtle color variation in the body.

Thanks! I tried to make it kind of realistic colors. I definitely need to get better at mixing two colors. I have these two...paddle brush things to do it. But I'm glad with the colors of the plates! Bright but not cartoony.

My sister wants a baby Yoda! Then I think I'll try making another stegosaurus. I'm going to use wire in the base so it is poseable. Then I'm going to make something horror themed for my co-mod. Maybe try flat needlefelting?

Really enjoying my hotel stay. gotten lots of sleep, feel so relaxed. And really nice hot tub, so had a couple nice baths. Glad I did this, I really needed it. And I'd stay in this hotel again.

thanks. And next time I might actually get a real long weekend. I'm supposed to be off probation in march, so I'll get to take vacation days.

Very lazy. Been lounging basically all weekend, which is not my norm but I am feeling it this weekend. I have been binging Nature and NOVA on the PBS ap and just chilling.

I made a ton of batches of food for freezing and freeze drying. I also made some backpacking gear with Dyneema and I’m happy I did it but the one thing that needed to be waterproof isn’t. I’ve tried taping over where I think it’s leaking and at this point the thing is more seam sealing tape than Dyneema fabric and it still leaks. Oh, well. I used only a tiny corner of the material and have a lot left over for other things. I order three half yards all in different colors and they accidentally sent me a full yard of one of the colors. I emailed them, just waiting to hear back so I can go ahead and pay them for it and then I plan to make a bunch of stuff sacks and I need to make a rescue along for my dog still.

Never did find out what the heck the police copter incident was about, but the afternoon tea with friends was a great deal of fun and the friend whose birthday it was was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the gifts (some Penzey's spices).

Have been on a library tour. It was a bit basic, but still had fun, I just love libraries!
Also apparently they have Mafia in English days and they are planning on tabletop in English days. I am excited about it, even though it kinda sucks on a transport level.
I also spent some time in the library reading and chilling, it was good.
I've started at last doing things about my hair problems. Apparently I do have skin condition affecting oil production, so no amount of "you don't need to wash your hair every day" were going to ever help. Shocker /s

So all in all it was a good weekend even though the weather was just awful and I even had a mild break down about it.
