For me it's the 'friends don't act like this!!!!' and it's just a regular hug between cast members or them being professionally courteous. It's just so weird to me how people will over-read and project so much onto famous strangers, and it's not just the shippy RPF people that do this, I see it with people insisting that a pair of actors are the most bff's to ever bff and it's like, you guys know they're co-workers right? Of course they're being friendly but that doesn't mean best friend 5eva, yet that's what it gets taken as.

It's all weird and I do not like the over-projection on actors and their relationships in general.

There's also a whole branch of RPF where people take, idk, boy band members and put them in magical fantasy space war AUs and it has nothing to do with cast interactions or stalking at all. The pure fictional RPF I find is way less creepy.
