New to you

I just got the PBS Passport and have been enjoying this older but new to me drama called Good Karma Hospital. It is not at all my usual but I find I am sucked into wholeheartedly. It is just the low level of medical and drama I can relax into.

Anyone else discovering new shows lately?

I thought PBS got disbanded after...recent events, so that's encouraging, even if you can only access older shows.

Recently, I've been getting back into Precure. A Sonic fanartist I like is also a Precure fan, and regularly reblogs fanart, which made me consider watching it. Kept putting it off though.

But the thing that really got me watching is that I have the deranged headcanon that my favorite tough-gal Sonic villain is secretly a Pretty Cure fan. I would need some proper (non-English dub) inspiration if I wanted to write a fic about it, so I started watching some.

I watched the first three or so episodes of Princess Precure, and it was cute, though the handling of the protagonist's goal is a bit confusing. It made me feel a bit lukewarm about continuing, even if I do like the princess theming.

But I instantly fell in love with Doki Doki Precure. Only watched the first episode, but the protagonist was so endearing. Her helpful, kindhearted nature reminded me so much of my sister. The opening scene with a battle on a destroyed world was also really gripping!
