In my World Mythology class at the high school where I teach, I designed and added a unit on Yoruba Mythology from scratch. We already did Greek, then Norse, and are wrapping up Celtic now. After Yoruba, we will do Egyptian Mythology and finish the semester with Japanese Mythology. I'm actually proud of all of my World Mythology creations. It's a class where I can be the creative teacher I want to be (the other class I teach is American Literature and we have to follow state curriculum).

That sounds fantastic. Lovely to hear that you do have some leeway on the curriculum and that you’re using it well. I definitely would have appreciated something like that at school.
