These are more minor than you're probably thinking, but...

That the phrase "Save some money for a rainy day" isn't literal. And the reason I realized it is because I stumbled on an old cartoon called Little Audrey on YouTube where the theme song is all about how the title character doesn't follow the proverbs she recites, that "She saves, but every time it rains, she spends what she puts away." I didn't understand how that was contradictory to the saying, because I'd always thought it meant "Save a little extra money to go buy yourself a little treat when it's rainy and gloomy outside."

Then I realized oh wait, is "rainy day" actually an idiom for a bad time in your life when you'll need extra money to help you through it? WHOOPS.

Also: That the title "Toy Story" is a pun on "Toy Store."

That Sandra Bullock's character in Speed saying that "relationships started under intense circumstances never work. I've done extensive study on this" did NOT mean she was a psychological researcher. Spent almost 30 years thinking she worked at a university.
