Very basic pet peeve but people standing in doorways AAAAAHHHHH GET OUT OF THE WAAAAAAAAAY

And how OFFENDED some people get when you ask them to move! Like YOU are in the wrong for wanting to enter/exit a building!

For me, the constant worry of “am I in someone’s way?” is so second nature that I find that kind of behavior almost alien.

The version I run into most often is a small group of people standing in a way that takes up the whole sidewalk. When I feel bolder, I sometimes walk right through the middle of their conversation rather than try to squeeze past at the edges.

As someone who lives in a major city, I am constantly shocked by how many people apparently were raised by wolves and have zero concept of basic sidewalk etiquette.

You walk on the right side. You don't walk side-by-side in a busy area with a narrow sidewalk. If you want to stop and chat, you move off to one side instead of standing in the middle. It's just having a basic awareness of the fact that there are other people in the world who need to use the sidewalk too!

This triggered Ursula voice in my head.

"One mustn't linger in doorways. It's rrrrude."

Add in the dweebs who decided to have whole conversations with friends, complete with carts, in the middle of the grocery aisle. CATCH UP ELSEWHERE, PLEASE.
