I am amused (in a good way) by response to my comment. It is just an interesting discussion.

I didn't know this artist, but I know a professional when I see one, so I looked it up. (A bit interior for my liking, but occasional funny ideas).
I work in art so I guess my perception is pretty much warped. But I rarely find realistic art engaging. Yeah, it is technically objectively good, but raw emotions or being clever is just more fun. That is all.

Anyway, sadly I have to report that not every contemporary artist is payed by rich people jerking each other off. Most of artists just barely keep their head above water and have day jobs. They just want to say their words most of the time. And in the era of photo and LLMs that is so much more different now.

Anyway, art is an extremely subjective thing. Glad we have it though.
