When my partner got a fungal infection, we used the classic Listerine to soak the feet for a week and that took care of it. However, it wasn’t in the nail bed as yours is so it seems that the kits are your best bet.
Also, wash your sneakers with baking soda as the detergent and vinegar as the rinse. Wash them once a month until the infection clears up. Wipe down dress shoes inside with Clorox wipes. Wash your socks separately from your other clothes and use vinegar as a rinse.
