i'd understand people's fervent need to cling to harry potter if the series was actually any good.

but it's basic kids lit if we're being generous.

the fact that so many grown adults hold onto it like it's some god tier level of writing truly makes me belive that those same people haven't progressed past an age 11 reading/media comprehension level.

I was gonna say, I don't think I've met a single HP fan who thinks the writing itself is great.

God I wish I was you. Not OP but I have seen grown adults praise her skill as a writer specifically.

It isn't even the best example of a magical children at a magical academy in the UK type of book series, written by a female British authoress.
