(Anonymous) 2026-04-15 04:24 pm (UTC)(link)This was an option in Windows 10, Windows 7, etc. I don't like having them grouped. I just don't like it. I've tried it and don't like it.
When Windows 11 first came out, the icons were always combined, and there was no way to turn it off. I Googled to see if I was missing a setting, and found a question from someone else who wanted to be able to separate the windows.
And so many people were like, no, you don't need to do that. It's easier if they're grouped! It's better if they're grouped! Most people like them grouped!
And it was so bizarre to me because.....it's an optional setting. No one is going to make you group them if you don't want to. Why are you arguing AGAINST a setting that people clearly want, just because you don't want it/won't use it?
They DID eventually patch that option in, because clearly there were people who wanted it. And yet, you had those who were arguing against it, because.....reasons?
Same thing with having a clock that counts seconds. They FINALLY added that back in, I just updated today and now I have the seconds again! But that was something else I had searched for, and found people saying, "You don't need it."
