Yeah. DID is so vanishingly rare, that we have more than the total recorded cases hanging around in discord, trying to get excused for being an asshole.

I am probably an asshole myself, because as soon as I see someone claim that, I immediately am extremely skeptical. I don't say or do anything to this person, so I keep my asshole thoughts to myself, but I distance myself from them and do not engage at all. Every single time I've seen someone make a big deal about having DID, the person turns out to make trouble eventually. Every time. So at this point, when I see that claim, I immediately prepare for there to be bullshit out of them at some point.
