BLEH. I have these types of reasoning. Who gives a shit if it's a book series for children. People can be attached to it even when they're adults or even read them for the first time when they're already 20+ years old and find the entertaining.

One of my favourite piece of media is Dragon Ball. It's a kid manga. It's not that deep and it's also not that well written, to tell the truth. For me it's the perfect shounen manga and I reread it at least one a year, just like people do/did with Harry Potter.
I guess the difference here is just that I'm lucky Akira Toriyama wasn't a creep so I can enjoy my kid media without being a target of this type of judgement.
