This used to be me. Being overlooked and seemingly outright ignored is a feeling I'm familiar with. It still gets to me NGL

I've noticed I have a chart in my head tracking when comments or secrets I post go through a dry spell here on FS. I start to feel anxious, and my anxiety is settled when I finally get a response to a comment or secret.
The best way I cope with the anxiety is reminding myself that lack of engagement doesn't devalue me. I admit to feeling sad that I didn't get engagement. And then I usually get over the disappointment.

I've had multiple secrets where it got zero engagement, but I always am thrilled to see the Secret Maker's work with my secret submission! My joy at seeing the secret outweighs my disappointment in getting no engagement now.

I relate to this secret. And it feels silly to feel a type of way about lack of engagement, but based off the secret and the comments it's not uncommon. No one enjoys being overlooked/ignored.
