Whenever I hear self-ship, I think about shipping characters with themselves. Ships like Master/Missy. There are just some characters who would totally be into themselves. I'm sure there is an actual name for that type of ship, but it was always self-ship in my head.

Back in the Old Days (early aughts and before) that was called 'self-cest' at least for like, Fic-writing purposes.

Though that usually involved the character meeting themselves from another timeline/dimension. I think a character that's just super-duper into themselves is still just called 'self centered'.

I get irrationally irritated at K-Drama adaptations outperforming Japanese source material in terms of popularity

at no point have I ever found the adaptation to be an improvement in terms of general execution

I'm also less invested in an adaptation in a language I don't speak, ok

I love this song too, and what's a love song without a little cheesiness? Makes me feel warm and wistful. If I ever publish a Sonelise fanmix (one of my Sonic pairings), this is definitely making it onto the list.

The flame and sun imagery, the love overcoming loneliness, and not wanting to lose said love, reminds me so much of Sonic and Elise's relationship, especially on Elise's end.
