It really was weird. The noises sounded like... dialup, but very faint. Hisses and whistles.

Now I'm deciding if I want to keep my old router with this modem (which was really just to test what was going on) or go to a somewhat faster modem with built-in router, which would help with some clutter around here...

Ahhhh that is so weird/creepy! I love it but I admit, if it were my modem doing it I don't think I would love it 🫨 I would be terrified lol.
