Are you aware that there are genres of game that you don't have to "git gud" at?

Lacking the skills to play Dark Souls shouldn't make you feel like you can't play The Stanley Parable.

as a pretty comfortably confirmed non-gamer, I enjoyed my brother walking me through TSP and even played some runs myself, but it didn't like...make me want to Game in general.

even low-stress stuff that isn't in the 'git gud' genre is like....so much repetitive stuff (Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing), or so much walking around and poking things and dead ends mixed into whatever the cool narrative or puzzle is. video games can be super interesting, but tbh I'd rather watch somebody's edited playthrough or discussion video on YT so I can skip the chaff and also get some of my real life non-optional chores done
