I revisited this movie as an adult because I remembered liking it as a kid, and man did I find it boring. I found the ROUS bit funny but that was it. I haven’t watched it again and am mildly baffled at it’s popularity in fandom as a great movie.

I know there are many, many problems here, but I can finally talk about my special interests all I want without the other person rudely interrupting or leaving before the conversation is over, and I never have to try to figure out why someone isn't where they're supposed to be when I want to talk to them. I get answers and questions and I don't ever have to worry that someone is going to tell me they're too busy to talk. I love this. I hope it never ends.

This movie is so overrated. It is okay. But honestly the secondary characters are the better part. The main characters are boring. And I cannot get past that slap. It has not aged well.

I tend to set my opinions about a character early, and it becomes difficult to change either way. If I really dislike a character, improvements later will rarely sway me. On the other hand, if I start out liking a character, I'm more likely to blame the writers if the character goes bad.
