Transcript - Phasmophobia

I know this is unkind, which is why I'm putting it in a secret, and not saying it to other players. All the drama and fallout over the player customization update for Phasmophobia has made me feel really good about my life. If an update to a game I like sucks, then I'm able to just go about my business. I can do other things, play other games. But as it turns out, a lot of other people can't. This game is the only thing going on in their lives, and they don't know what to do without it. I feel sorry for them.

Lol. It is okay to be mad and complain about a game breaking update for a game you love. I'm mad about it and have stopped playing Phasmo (I have 300+ hours in the game). I have other hobbies. It doesn't make it any less sad that a game I loved was made unplayable because the devs pushed it out for a Alan Wake collab.

OP

Complaints are fine. Being sad is fine. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about people who cannot bring themselves to go and do something else, as you have done. They hate it, and it's making them miserable, but they won't stop playing it.

I mean, you say it yourself: it’s a game you like. But some people love it. And I’m not just talking about this one game; this is something that is happening with more regularity in games. Not only are people free to voice their grief about losing a game they loved but the more who do it, the better chances for slowing this trend.

OP

People are free to voice their grief. But when people can't stop playing a game that's upsetting them, then not only is there a problem, but it's not going to do anything to "slow this tend." Who cares if the players complain, if they'll just keep playing anyway?
