I didn't even see that thread when I posted my rant. It wasn't aimed at people here or anywhere online, rather someone i have to deal with IRL who is way too fucking invested in what I eat and what snacks are new and what fast food restaurants are coming out with etc

nayrt - NGL, the timing is hilarious, but I'm glad you're not upset about threads in the GC! Yeah, my sympathies. People who want to talk your ear off about one subject exhaustively are annoying in general, but IMO, food and what you're eating talk is a bit more loaded because people who food-police tend to be a little toxic about it.

I had to deal with someone who texted me all day (and would make things much worse for me if I blocked or muted them) and the most effective way to deal with it was to slow down my replies. For non-urgent things, the vast majority of their texts, I would reply at least an hour later. It made me less interesting so they stopped doing it so much.

Lmfao, I'm sorry OP I also thought you were mad because of the food threads and was kind of confused. I actually totally get what you mean though, that sounds irritating. I hate people being nosy about what I eat.
