I think a healthcare system that relies on medical insurance is superior to universal healthcare systems

Okay, but how? Where has this worked, ever? I do think that a combo works well, but universal healthcare needs to be the basis.

Universal healthcare is a failed drain that isn’t remotely sustainable, let alone successful. Think of what Obamacare was supposed to be: that is what I’m talking about. I’m also talking about overhauling the current insurance system and imposing strict regulations on the insurance companies. They’re currently set up to prey on policy holders and get rich off denying us healthcare. An overhaul would open access to medical services for everyone and stimulate the growth of the healthcare industry, which is currently shrinking and will collapse by the time Gen Z reach middle age if it stays on the current trajectory.

Universal healthcare is working pretty well in a lot of countries, particularly those where it wasn't starved by neo-conservative governments in the hope of privatising it. Obamacare was tinkering around the edges of a system that funnels money to insurance companies. Why not get rid of the insurance company intermediary completely and put all that money into actual healthcare?
