For the past 4 years, I have saved multitudes of images of my favorite characters from my fandom. I have approx 2700 files saved, which is about half of the non fandom images or pictures stored in my photos. I'm just glad no one is going to look at my photo reel and wonder why I have so many files saved. So I shouldn't feel guilty about it even though I keep saving these files.

I'm the anon who last year undertook the mighty adventure of organising their HDDs and let me tell you: those are rookie numbers. I have almost 5000 pictures only for SPN/ destiel folder. 12.000 for Boku no Hero Academia (why so many??? I have pictures of only 2 ships lol) and in general my fandom folder surpass 100.000 images and not by a little.

Granted, I have them in my backup HDDs and not on my phone, but I've never been ashamed of my image-hoarding hobby. In my case they chronicle all my fandom obsessions from around 2005 onward and I bet if you continue saving them it will be the same for you. It's pretty great! Keep the images with no shame, nonny, and do backups!!!!

This teen author did not allow god nor autocorrect get in the way of their story. 1/3 of the words are misspelled, and yet it was a fabulous story that caused me to lose an entire night of sleep because of how much of a page-turner they wrote. Fantastic work. I love it so much.

Much respect for you OP.

This kind of thing bugs me so much because when there are enough errors, I don’t just get tripped up on the mistakes, I start mentally double-checking words even when they’re correct. Every their/there/they’re, every bear/bare, etc.

Sometimes it’s still worth it, but it makes it much harder to get lost in the story.

Glad you enjoyed it, OP, but like most other commenters I don't think I could get through that. The odd typo or misspelled word here and there is understandable, but that's too much. I'd be constantly pulled out of the story and would lose track of the plot. Hopefully someone will encourage the talented storyteller to polish up the technical part of their writing so they can reach a wider audience.

I wouldn't even understand what the author is trying to say if this is the level of mistakes/typos. I'm ESL and can tolerate some grammatical and vocabulary mishaps very well, but UUUH I don't think I have the mental capacity to interpret meaning solely based on how the words sound, I guess?

Whenever I see someone in the fandom refer to movie!Thorin specifically, but checks our for book!Thorin as well, as stoic I get incredibly confused.

Because that dwarf is not on any level stoic, he is in fact a very emotional person where it's very clear and obvious where other characters stand in his eyes.

I don't mean this as a bad thing, I love him to bits, just more of an observational boggling at fandom folks who think that guy is not one of the most emotional characters in the whole story. Hell the dwarves in general are actually pretty emotional in general and I love them for it.

It gives me true hope for humanity to watch approx 95% of Star Trek fandom look at the deep and intrusive structural changes that Discovery and Starfleet Academy made to the fabric of the franchise and collectively say "yeah, buddy, we ain't fucking doing that" and just ignore it. Gives me, dare I say it, Faith of the Heart.
