Yeah, the odds of the liver damage are extremely low if you otherwise have a healthy liver. The loss of taste (or getting a metallic taste) is more common but temporary. And if your nail fungus hasn't gone away with topical treatment, the oral medication is a good idea. Not treating nail fungus can have nasty and long-term effects on your foot health.

Seconding this. Don’t drink alcohol, and watch your caffeine intake, but leaving the fungus untreated is worse.
