I don't see it, tbh. From what I've seen of the S/P shippers, they are placing Sheldon as Spock and Penny as Uhura from the new movie despite the fact that it makes no sense (aside from both being women, Penny and Uhura have little in common in terms of personality). So, I don't see that either.

Maybe in the reboot, but I totally don't see Penny as TOS!Kirk. Kirk's too smart for her. (Not that I don't love her, I just see her as being more of a Rand.) The rest of the characters are spot on, especially Howard and Raj being Sulu and Chekov. That needs fic!
