I personally tire of fics that leave a lot of things like this. Especially lubrication in a slash fic. Since when do males have self-lubricating asses? I guess some type of alien race can, but still =/ any human male penetration will need lubrication.

As for condoms, realism can be sexy, if handled well. Just like irl putting condoms on can be sexy, it can be written sexy as well.

I hear you! Self-lubrication is annoying. And condoms can be sexy - it's pretty fun in RL, it can be sexy in fiction too, but I've never seen written it well though.
I mean why powerful supernatural being\high-technology alien who can deal with radiation just with a shot would have an STD? mpreg on the other hand...

Oh, I agree. Any non-human slash stuff is understandable without the condom. I mean, aliens would have no need for, and probably never even heard of, condoms. isn't that part of the beauty of some alien/human stuff? XD

And yeah, it's hard to find them written well. But in a normal human fanfic, I actually appreciate the touch of realism, personally. I wish they could be done in a better way, but just the extra mile of writing in some condom usage is a big plus in my book. But I can see where it takes away from the fantasy of it all... xD

Or aliens can have some alternative methods of contraception or different views on sex at all - that's the beauty of it.

Touch of realism in human fanfic ftw, my suspension of disbelief is pretty low actually. O__o

Except that blood doesn't stay slick under friction. Even if the bottom (heh) were bleeding the whole time he was being fucked, it wouldn't WORK. You'd wind up with unpleasant clotting stuff going on. I mean, under friction, blood basically turns into small granules of stuff the consistency of boogers. It doesn't stay liquid. And I am under the impression that fresh blood coming into contact with clotted blood just... clots. It doesn't, like, re-liquify the clot.

Nobody ever writes about THAT when they're including it in fic.

I have spent way too much time thinking about this, clearly. And way too much time having nosebleeds as a curious and impossible-to-gross-out kid.

...maybe I should have started this conversation as an anon. Oh, well. Too late now! :)

I wasn't necessarily saying it would work, just that a masochist could probably get off on it if it were possible. I mean, we all know blood clots, that's why I figured if anyone would be stupid enough to try it(even fictional) they'd have to get off on stuff that is painful.

I suppose the small amount of lubrication from the condom or the pre-come what have you could help along, etc etc... but even still, like you said... blood clots and it just clots.

gah~ why am I still thinking about this? XDD
