I kind of think the same way as you. Two weeks ago we had to watch a very violent war movie in one of my class, and I kind of lost a lot of the respect I held for the professor.
And then people tried to make me like the movie giving me stupid reason.
If it's a non-violent movie about war, I'm kind of okay with it, but if it's a violent movie, I really feel like we are exploiting violence in war and somehow encouraging it. People watching this don't even realize that we are speaking about human life.

i was half asleep and i didn't write exactly what i meant.
I'm fine with most of the war movies . I just don't enjoy them. But some war movies display such violence in order to shock and to be a blockbuster that it end up gore rather than just being a war movie. I don't see the appeal of these movie and I admit I kind of judge people who watch these movies where there is so little plot and the only reason that - I think - can bring you to watch these movies is to enjoy watching people exploding. I think these movies kind of promote war in a way that is disturbing
