I have done this since I was around 11 years old. I have also method acted my rp characters alone for years in private and try to test out theories of how my characters will react to certain situations.. kind of like how you have a conversation in your head with someone before you talk to them to get an idea of what you're going to say so you know what to say to what they're gonna say.

I got married and now it's all up in my head before I go to sleep. I often imagine my OTP/RPG Slashed characters holding each other and resting peacefully. He doesn't know and I don't think there's any reason to tell him. I share a lot with him. It's not necessary for me to share every single intimate detail I have in my mind.

I also HEAVILY ship a slash pairing for a show we both love and I haven't told him that and I seriously don't want him ever knowing.. their love (my OTP) is mine and mine alone. He wouldn't understand it anyways.
