Seriously, shipping is supposed to be fun! None of the (slash) pairings are canon! But screw it, we can still enjoy the hints and the fanservice (and the fanart, and the fanfic, and the manips, and the macros)! So please anon, enjoy the show, don't hate on other pairings, and everything's fine. Let's all just get along.

Btw, my (admittedly fanwank-y) explanation for Dean's not really looking shocked when Castiel exploded is that it was so lulzy that he couldn't believe it. I mean, he exploded. Come on, who can take that seriously?

Oh, come on. First of all, why don't people appreciate the OT3?! Second of all, I think he was shocked when Cas exploded, and also it's a little different when an angel 'dies' and when a human gets their neck snapped. (Besides, he has daddy issues.) The finale was wonderful, but I thought a lot of the season had a lot of Sam/Dean tension and meanness, really. I thought the ship suffered a lot, but then ultimately gained strength again, as did Dean/Cas. Why compare them??

The worst part about this finale (hard to pick one, since it was all bad) is that people are willing to forgive how awful it was based on which scorecard they've got their bingo chips on and forget how it trashed the show to something that probably won't ever be reconciled.

If you're not trolling, I'd like to point out that authorial acknowledgement of people's shipping does not in fact legitimize the ship. In canon, Dean and Sam aren't doing it. Dean and Castiel aren't doing it. Sam and Castiel are totally doing it.

Part of me just wants to say: my ship did a billion times better than either Sam/Dean or Dean/Cas neener neener Bobby/Crowley for the win.

That said, why does it matter? Neither pairing is ever going to be canon.

Though I do have to admit, the Season Finale was exactly like a really bad Wincset fic. Plot holes, ooc, and just plain poor writing and all. Kirpke ships it, I don't deny that but also think he could write himself out of a paper bag. Its a good thing that he's leaving and the writers who actually know what they're doing (Carver, Edlund, Sera) can't fix the shit Kripke crapped. Take it dude, you can have him and S.05 finale. I don't want it anyways.
