I...don't think that's the point. At all. (And "Xian"? I keep hearing it in my head with Chinese pronunciation.) Didn't you see "Hammer of the Gods"? The whole point of that ep was that there are tons of religions and they're all 'real,' and humans are kinda stupid for being narrow-minded and acting like only one faith is 'right' and real. I really liked that idea. I don't know if we're supposed to think that Chuck was God all along--and I hope not, because I think that's stupid and unforgivably retconny--but I think you're missing the point of that reveal.

Also, I'm with you on Chuck not being God. I'm pretty sure he's just a prophet, since the disappearing act paralleled the prophets of various religions who ascended to Heaven once their job was done.

I think that Chuck is not God, but that maybe God was taking his form in that moment (he was dressed differently)....honestly, I think it was a meta in-joke about Kripke being God, and saying goodbye to his fans, since this is his last episode as showrunner, I don't think it's supposed to be that in-depth...
