I'm the same as you! Voices and words make me taste things. It's usually only audio that does it, but some words I only have to read in order to taste something.

Kurt's voice is unpleasant to me, too, but it's not so much a rancid combination as it is just a taste I'm not fond of. Sort of a ... lemony, salty taste. High voices always taste a little salty to me. When he sings it tastes a little less like lemon and a little more like oranges, so like... orange flavored potato chips? If those were real, hahah. It's weird, at first, but kind of good.

Sue's, on the other hand, makes me want to vomit. It tastes like raw fish, only really really bitter, almost like sucking on a garlic clove. It dries out my mouth and I dry heave. It sucks because I love her character, and when I go read her dialogue later I love it, but I can't listen to her, not even for a little bit. I hate when episodes start off with her yelling because it always catches me off guard! I totally feel you :(

We're in the same boat, so I figured I'd share!

Lady Gaga tastes a little like portabella mushrooms, but 'lighter', creamier? Do they make a cream of portabella mushroom? If so, something along the lines of that. Some of her songs where her voice is synthesized a bit more make her taste dryer, and a little tomato-y, not raw tomato but those canned tomato soups. Her voice sort of makes me thirsty if I listen to her too much.

After Ren's death I was rather disheartened and didn't really want to read anymore; even though his and Nana's relationship was kind of dysfunctional it suited them. And I wanted her to be happy. Really, I want both Nana and Hachi to be happy.

Well, in Porco Rosso, they did have Fio. At least, I count her as a strong girl: She's outspoken, charming, has her own mind, and goes along with her gut instinct no matter how much Porco tells her "no". Given how old-fashion he also is (and given the time period at the time), the fact that he character developed from her (and managed to respect her for both her skills and personality) is a major boost on why I love the character (and the movie in general).

oh totally, i guess i should've said that pretty much 100% of miyazaki's female characters are also strong. but i was just trying to make the point that in most of his movies, they're also the main protagonists or the driving part of the story. i just mean that porco rosso is the only one where the female is a supporting character. they're lots of really cool and awesome female characters who i love in pixar movies (jessie, dory, ellie, boo, etc.) but they're all supporting characters, or they share top billing with a male lead. miyazaki just goes to show that you can have a female lead (nausicaa, chihiro, kiki) that's relatable to everyone and doesn't necessarily make it a "girl" movie.
