1. I'm like that with spiders. I can manage it, but it makes my skin absolutely CRAWL. >>'

2. I neither love no hate them. Some really grate me the wrong way, but on the whole I don't want them dead. I'd just prefer that sometimes they'd take a hint and stop babbling about a series I know nothing about. But, I'll admit I've done similar things, so I can't hold it against them. And some of them are so very cute!

5. Well for one, it would take a lot of surgery for Iruka to EVER be that curvey... >>' I'd be with you in thinking that your friend is tracing. No way is it anything else unless she has a very, very bad concept of anatomy and a pretty good grasp of posing. That combination is pretty hard to find portrayed like that.

10. Lucky. ♥

13. RAEP 'O CLOCK~

18. While it doesn't look like Roy, I like the art style. It reminds me of Mexico for unknown reasons.

19. I actually do have something of a "muse" personality, especially for when I'm exceedingly scared or angry. It helps. Other times, especially in RP, I'm a bit of a method actor. In order to play the character, I have to get into their skin a little bit.

18. I'm not the only one that thinks of Mexico? :O

18. It's the style. I see a lot of Mexican art done in that style. I find it, while not technically attractive, very soothing and beautiful when taken as art and not science. But then, folkart is something of a weakness of mine. ♥

Heh. You're making me want to look into folkart now.

I think a lot of art is that way really. I just say good art to me is something that can evoke an emotional response. Course that means no-one will ever agree on what good art is. xD;

Some of my favorite art is amateur art, folk art, and various other works that are considered "non-professional."

That's why we've got art museums with rooms and rooms and wonderful rooms full of the stuff, because nobody can make up their minds! :D If we could make up our minds on what is art, we'd have like... a little outhouse-sized building with one piece of "art" in it and it would be sad. ;_;

[personal profile] vangirl 2007-05-16 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
...That would be TERRIBLE. D:

WHAT WOULD BE THE POINT OF MUSEUMS THEN? DX
karel: (axel; wake me up)

I KNOW I WOULD CRY TEARS OF BLOOD OH THE HUMANITY! D:

THERE WOULD BE NO POINT THEY'D BE GONE FROM THE FACE OF THE EARTH. EVEN WORSE. D8

5. You're right. It's way too female to be a male. When her entire gallery is viewed as a whole, many of her pictures are very obvious copies of females in provocative poses. In those that aren't, the style and quality are very very different. It's quite sad. Her coloring style is very slick. But to be faking the art like that is a real shame.

5. Looking at her coloring style, I think she might have the technical know-how that with some practice she could be doing her own original stuff. I think that all she would need is some lessons in anatomy. ^^' Because males typically don't have thighs like that. XD

18. It's got that folk artsy feel to it. But I'm not sure how I feel about folk art as fan art. Would that make it pop folk art? Folk pop art mabye.

18. I could definitely accept it, but that's just me. ^^' I think that it has a very earthy feel to it, and her use of charcoals is very good. Hard medium to use, there. I've tried and failed. ^^' Not that my art is anything to go broadcasting about. (and I'm not fishing for compliments there; it's the honest-to-god truth.)
