6. I know how you feel. I've been guilty of the same, both the leaving part and the missing part. In my experience, I've learnt that people don't care about these kinds of things as much as you think they do. I doubt they think badly of you for leaving, and while I know that popping up out of nowhere is weird... if you ever get the chance to talk to them again, jump for it.

I consider myself a pretty casual member of this fandom (if you're talking about MGS, that is), and I'm a little afraid I'll feel the same way as you in the future because I do sort of think the same way as the first part of the secret. On the other hand, I haven't met one fandom that wasn't self-absorbed, bitchy, clique-ish, pretentious and backstabbing, so... no, I don't think this fandom is one of the worst. By a long shot.

Maybe I'll change my mind a few years from now.

I was feeling kind of depressed when I wrote that secret, and it isn't literally true; there are times when I do have fun, and that keeps me in the game. Just... the performance anxiety can be really bad at times, that's all.

Yeah, I actually don't like Haruhi that much as a person, but as a character... I am very fond of her. I IDOLIZE KYON THOUGH. And I ship Kyon/Haruhi hard, which I think adds to my bias when it comes to Haruhi.
