Generally, things that aren't entertaining don't get paid attention to. Some have bemoaned the fact that there aren't more secrets posted. Well, surprise, surprise! Why bother to read and post when it's so fucking boring?

<33 Can I be your sidekick?

YEAH

I'm a so-so fan. :| I think they're music's okay and all and I'll listen to it, but I'm not head-over-heels for them.

If it means we can get rid of that bystander effect, then sign me up too.

5. Concert pianist + lack of an arm =/= laughing matter

3. Lol at people trying to assert emotional superiority over others!

I know some people do this as an HONEST decision because they do feel that it will make their lives better, but most people that I've seen do this are the kinds of people who like to say and do things so that other people will think they're more mature and subsequently- I dunno- be ashamed of themselves for being so "childish"? It's really very ridiculous. Eye-rollingly ridiculous.

6. Ugh.

I don't think I've ever run into this (the e-friends I have with AS are all well into their adult years and professionally diagnosed), but it's kind of like kids in High School whining about how they're bipolar because you can STILL get depression-pity without having to play act at school because you can always just pretend to be "manic". *KEY.BOARD.SMASH*

7. It's not just "young" yaoi fans. I've met people in their early to mid twenties who still act like this. o__O

10. Not to pry (lol, I'm prying) but do you mean they broke up with you because you wore a cosplay they didn't approve of? *blink blink*

12. What band is that?

[identity profile] dots.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Because nobody's posting secrets for you, honestly. The comm's interesting, but it's not solely for entertainment. I find it as a pretty good source of stress relief, personally, and I'm sure other people have other reasons.

We don't make secrets for you to lol at. Sorry :)

[identity profile] mercale.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's Takeshi as well. Poor guy getting laughed at. I blame Ko.

(Anonymous) 2007-05-23 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I remembered the comm and wandered over to check if the situation has improved. It hasn't. Now I will wander away again. And, no, I won't let the door hit me on the ass on my way out. *sigh*

[identity profile] moebot.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
2. I think we should make a new comm for people that bitch about roleplay secrets. Seriously, man, RPing is just as much a part of fandom as the cosplay and the ficcing and the fanart.

12. AHAHAHAH TOKIO HOTEL.

[identity profile] cephiedvariable.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
3. Wendy Pini (creator of ElfQuest) once said that about fandom and it kind of broke my heart. D:

But I guess she felt that her experience in fandom as a young girl was an unhealthy thing even though it's how she met her husband.

When I'm a published writer and career woman, I am totally still going to participate in fandom. I can't wait to make fake accounts and write badfic of my own stories!

[identity profile] cybersky.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
2. Hey, RP's a part of fandom too, last I checked. And nothing's stopping you from just skimming past the RP secrets and ignoring them, surely?

6. Jerks who pretend to have Asperger's as a get-out-of-jail-free card make people who genuinely have the disorder look bad. That's all I'm going to say on this matter, even if it is basically the same thing you said.

[identity profile] infringe.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
We won't miss you! Promise.

[identity profile] xspin.livejournal.com 2007-05-23 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not Ko's fault he had to saw off the guy's arm. D:
He just wanted to halp. ;;

#8- I agree with you, but at the same time I don't.

I mean, people look at the world different ways, y'know? Frankly, I think reality could use a Goku or a Peter Petrelli or a Superman. Someone that can actually make big impact. Because humans, ESPECIALLY teenage humans, can't do much.

But then, you save three lives with every pint of blood you donate. A kind word could make someone's day. A little bit of attention might show someone that they aren't alone, and make their life easier to deal with.

So we CAN be heroes. Just, not heroes with the awesome super powers like in stories.

;3 Next time you're at the McDonald's drive-thru, pay for the order of the person behind you. Make their day.

...although being able to fly would be kickass, too.

12. They're just some j-rock wannabes. Only pedos seem like them. D:
