1: Me too, sometimes. I'm already kin.
10: People like you are why I'm afraid to get into comic fandom.
13: Want me to sing the pirate song in your face? >>
16: Jeez, how nice are you?
17: What series?

14. YAKITATE!! JAPAN FAN?

I support those two pairings, too! I wish I knew who you were, but that would ruin the point of posting secrets anonymously.

:D I had a crush on him as well.

10. FACT: Manga-styled Marvel comics suck.

[identity profile] samuraiter.livejournal.com 2007-06-04 11:52 am (UTC)(link)
Fact! I agree. :-)

7. This comment is really just an excuse for me to go "SQUEE, DEXTER! ♥". Sorry. :x

I hear you. <3

I was like, "omfg dexter."

#6- Jim Carrey scares the stuffings out of me in that movie. Count Olaf is the creepiest villian ever because of the whole trying to marry Violet thing. But at the same time, I can't help but like that movie. I don't know why.

Speaking for the wave of "american anime" or OEL's they're called since it's not all "American" *shock and horror! PEOPLE SPEAK ENGLISH OUTSIDE OF THE US* Some of the comic people out there are coming from Austrailia and England, too. And another shocker....they're not all white!

You know marvel and DC are only doing it to make money by following trends.

As for original English comics in regards to the manga stylings, I reccomend you take a good look at your friendly neighborhood webcomics, and online artists. They've been into the same things as you, and they just may have a story to tell that's worth publishing. Sure there's crap out there, but just because it's from Japan doesn't mean it's like "ZOMG PERFECTION" I admit I was even hesitant until I actually bothered to sit down and read them.

In the meantime I find it a total shame that you choose to hate a race just because of some exec. fat cats trying to make a fast buck.

Yes. -_- It makes me a sad samurai.

friendly neighborhood webcomics, and online artists.

Those, I actually don't mind. Maybe it's because they're indie work, but they tend to be a lot more palatable.
koyuki: ([tenipuri] what did you say?!)

Than. Than. THAN.

THAM.

I'm sorry you feel so alone, but as a yaoi fangirl, I would never convert to yuri if it gave me horrible grammar skills like that.

But hey, why bash on what other people like? You can't change their opinions. Sorry, girls don't do it for me. If you contribute rather than complain, I'm sure you could make your fandom bigger.

*THAN

AHAH THE IRONY HURTS.

I obviously should not type when I am distracted.

I'm a combination yaoi/yuri fangirl.

I'm sad for the yaoi to yuri ratio... but honestly there's not much you can do if yuri (or femmeslash in general) isn't a person's kink.

So yuri gives you bad grammar now? Did me memo a miss?

#9- YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I kind of had a crush on all 3 chipmunks actually.

4. OMG this could be me, but probably not. I'm such a loser.
8. I like both, and idk which I like better. I just discovered [livejournal.com profile] daily_yuri which made me so happy. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] girlslash is good too if you make it past the Heroes fic.
9. I had a late crush on Theodore, but it was because he was the drummer in a three part band made of brothers. Like Zac Hanson. Who I loved.
13. Old meme.
15. Crack RPs are great! I used to be in one but got too busy to update and yeah. If you're seriously considering RPing a char, try a crack RP

Thank you! :-D

1. Excuse me for sounding stupid, but what's a "soulbonder"?
4. Oh, c'mon. The whole icon-ing thing is actually about copying styles from others (and if anyone feels offended by that, I'm an iconist myself). Seriously, there is hardly anyone who really does his own thing.
8. YURI FTW!
17. Sorry to say that, but I think it's ridiculous when people think less about a series just because of its fandom.

[identity profile] maeda.livejournal.com 2007-06-04 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
re #1 - Basically, a soulbond is a mental embodiment of a character that speaks to you/other people (if you're open enough about it). They can be outsourced, which means they would be from a game or book or show - things like that - or insourced, a character you created. That is very basic, though. It's different for everyone.

People make a big deal out of it, but it's like an eccentric artist thing to me. I figured it was relatively common for creative people to be so inspired by certain characters that they'd have a piece of said character's essence, so to speak, developed within their mind. Think David Bowie ---> Ziggy Stardust, for example.

3. YES. No one likes Asuka, but I love her!

9. That is the cutest thing ever.

12. I think we should get married.

13. I'm in complete agreement. I'm so sick of hearing about it I could puke. And it's EVERYWHERE.

#3, #17

[identity profile] valkyriur.livejournal.com 2007-06-04 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
#3, I can't stand her as a teen, but when you find out her background it's so tear-jerking. And the thing is,...if more people would realize things like that are why a lot of people are the way they are now...it may help.

#17, I have a childhood hero that's like that. I was never very much in the fandom, but I think I know what you mean. I started to hate it for a while because of the fandom. But then I realized that I still have my past with it, and that's what I should continue to stick with. Not what other people have made. :)

7 & 12

[identity profile] stormbringer986.livejournal.com 2007-06-04 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Me too!

For 7: I've always thought they were way more interesting than the 'normal' characters anyway, and they do tend to be hotter :D

For 12: I'd have enjoyed the 40's a lot more than I'm enjoying the....2000's or whatever. Better music, and much better clothes and hairstyles.

#03. ilu. srsly. i feel the same about her. ♥

[identity profile] eyesofbyakugan.livejournal.com 2007-06-05 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
9. Me too. But I had a thing for the geeky characters back then. Still do. Yay geeks! XD
