As much as I would like to sympathize with you, it's not happening. I'm almost convinced this is a troll!secret instead of a fishing-for-compliments-please-pat-my-back-and-tell-me-i-rock secret. The way you've put forward your case for not wanting to draw reeks of dramawhore. I can tell you from experience that trolls and bashers don't come in without reason. Even the most banal, trivial, and petty thing is enough to set them off like a block of C4, and if you've given them fuel - which sounds very likely, given your reasoning, and seriously, if one little comment is enough to make you sulk, I got nothing for ya - you've given them exactly what they wanted. Get over yourself. If you're good, if all the joints are in the right place, the proportions are working, and your work isn't a POS, you're damned well good enough to stand firm and laugh at your 'trolls and bashers.' Did you do a background check on them? Did you assess their work for yourself? Did you ever manage to draw a conclusion as to whether they had something to say, or were just full of shit? Are you drawing for yourself, to improve yourself, or are you doing it to win the DA/Internet popularity contest? What logical reason do you have to fear criticism on your work?
All cynicism aside, we've all as artists worked our little artisty butts off to get to our current skill levels, wherever they may be. Grow a pair, and be proud of what you've achieved. Don't be afraid to take another look at whatever shit comment comes your way and see if there isn't a legitimate point hiding in there somewhere. Now GTFO and go back to drawing. And be awesome enough to laugh at your haters.
