(Anonymous) 2011-03-19 04:51 am (UTC)(link)With EVERYONE I've talked to, the joke in that song was NEVER making fun of the rapist, it was ALWAYS making fun of ghetto people. I really didn't realize that other, less-assholey people were actually looking up to Antoine and making fun of the rapist when they listened to/sang that song. Anyway, thank you for the comments, they've made me like the song a lot more :) And it's SO awesome that they were able to make enough money from the whole thing that they were able to move someplace better, that's really crowning-moment-of-awesome right there.
(The rapist hasn't been caught, correct? It's weird to think he's still out their, knowing he caused all this. He's probably driven himself absolutely insane with fear by now; seeing this guy who's talking about how "we gonna find you" everywhere. Serves him right of course, but it's weird to think he's out there.)
