Yes we did. Yuuko said it herself in the beginning of the adventure. There are all kinds of worlds, worlds that follow no rules we've even dreamed of (whee paraphrasing~). The world of the bunny people is one such world. Basically. :B

I know what you mean, OP. Ever since reading that fic I've been following his blog too. I don't want to fuck him, though; he's too much like my dad. But he's everything I want to be when I'm an adult... I really hope I can be like him when I'm older. :)

I'm not the anon you replied to, but I think what they're frustrated about is the pushing of views, not just expressing them. In HP, Rowling used a lot of symbolism to portray her stance on religion and the afterlife, but she gave us readers more of a vague feeling of stuff and things were more open to interpretation (i.e. Harry's 'limbo' in King's Cross.) In books like Twilight and what this book sounds like, though, the authors' ideals - religious and societal, mostly - come across as sounding more like THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY AND I AM RIGHT AND YOU SHOULD AGREE THAT I'M RIGHT. If that's where the anon's frustration was coming from, then I agree completely.

Basically, I agree with your assessment on swearing if it were allowed and/or existed in the Avatarverse, especially with Azula.

Except for this part, really. I don't wish it at all. It would be OOC for her, period. Not only that, but there are those of us real human beings who don't swear; possibly hard to believe, but true, and it doesn't make us any less human. Unfortunate phrasing, perhaps, but I felt it needed addressing.

Still, I'd say you have the right idea here.

I personally loved him, but I can understand why someone wouldn't. If I knew him in *real* life, I'd probably find him obnoxious and hard to deal with. But I think his weirdness makes him a really interesting character.

They've been pushing the envelope on what the FCC will allow for years.

This is a good object lesson, though. Actors aren't out until they're OUT, just because of this bullshit. And don't tell me Bomer doesn't want people to think this, either.

This is why he DOES have to announce it if he wants to be considered out (which I'm sure he doesn't). The fangirl (and everybody else) presumption of heterosexuality.

I just see it as awkward either way 'cause N clearly has no social skills... I don't really see it as *creepy.* Though if I were in that situation I admit I'd probably be just a liiiiittle weirded out.

But yeah, the doulbe standard is strange. Although since the English version came out and people learned the dialogue, I haven't heard anyone saying it was creepy. (Not that I'm doubting people have. I just haven't heard it so I hadn't formed an opinion.)

It gets so much better in the subsequent episodes. There are actually quite a few touching moments toward the ends of a few episodes.

You also have to not take the show too seriously, it's OTT and hilarious if you just let it be what it is.
