I get that you mean the manga but that's what always bugged me. That in the manga it's always the guy's story by default. Sapphire was the only girl to actually be a protagonist in the story because her and Ruby were kind of on even terms in the game. Even then it wasn't enough -maybe it's because I ship StevenMay and gah I wanted it to be there in PokeSupe like in the game. I loved the interactions.

I wish they'd let the girl be the default player in the manga once.

OP, and I agree with you here. I don't ship her with Steven but I really like Sapphire. :3a

haha well as it is I pretty much just like StevenMay from the games since there's not that freak romance feeling in the manga as Brendan's the hero. And heck, RubySapphire is amazing. I kind of see them as separate buut at the same time... yeah.

Sapphire is awesome. And heck I can't see her without Ruby really because their dynamic is awesome. I see Sapphire as different from "May". So as much as I like StevenMay I can forgive Pokesupe for that because of how it did RubySapphire.

What bugs me is Diamond. My PokeOTP is BarryDawn, which is the main reason I resent Diamond arc. I thought Dawn/Platinum made an amazing heroine because she gave an appearance of a sweet but resilient girl in the game. And really her going through the void Cyrus created seemed a lot more... awesome to me. That she's just rushing through with this -not emotionless- but determined -but now all >_<- expression on her face, with Cynthia. It kind of reminded me of Card Captor Sakura finale, weird as it sounds.

And she had amazing dynamic with Barry/Pearl. I would have killed for Dawn/Platinum to be the protagonist.

Platinum is epic, I adore her. I'm shamefully behind on that arc, but all the same. Aside from my crack pair love (Red/Platinum), Platinum/Pearl is too cute.

But that's what fandom is for, right? Everyone has their preference and there's always someone out there who shares it. It stuns me how nasty everyone can get, instead of just sticking to their own corners and enjoying some damn pokemons together. XD;

I never said otherwise. I love how versatile the Pokemon universe is truly, but I don't like how only the boys get to play the protagonist role from the games. Or at least have some of the scenes/duties split over.
