some of that stuff is pretty gross and crosses a line imo, but... just keep in mind that people who get off on those things probably don't feel great about it, you know? people seriously can't help what they like!

plus, if they're written skillfully, dirtybadwronghorrible situations can be eroticized well; and if that's disturbing, that is the point. and like other anon was saying, your second example sounds like kind of an interesting idea for a story to me, though i doubt i'd be getting off to it.

Well I have a kink that I find so shameful I don't even feel comfortable saying what it is in an anonymous comment. I don't indulge in because I think it's not cool. Just having a kink (that you can't control) doesn't mean you lose all control of yourself once you have your hand on your gentiles. I do think it's valid to judge someone off what they chose to masturbate to and put their energies into creating. Very rarely are you going to come across a person who can ONLY get off on one specific scenario or kink. They could enjoy themselves in other ways.

I mean that doesn't mean all judgments have to be bad or significant or anything. But it's still a choice they're making imo and it's as valid a way to judge, or not judge, a person's character as any other choice they make.

I'll plus one this. A lot of people have internalized kink-shaming going on. Also, your apt icon is apt.

And yeah, I'd read that story-- not as porn, but as drama, because I get off on historical drama in a non-sexual way. I like references to specific dates/occurrences, accuracy, all that jazz. Which means I wind up coming across all the historical AUs (and a whooole lot of them are WWII-era), though I've never seen that particular scenario. I mean, my feelings on it as porn would vary depending on how it was written and whether or not I responded to it in a way I found distressing...
