Kanaya's sexual preferences aside, it bothers me more that Kanaya<>Karkat is in the fanwiki all official-like when there's no solid proof of it. Just because Karkat says "she was my really good friend" doesn't automatically mean "she was my moirail." And Kanaya hasn't actually diamond-dumped Vriska. Her coldness towards Vriska in the Veil, along with clocking her during the 3x showdown, can certainly be interpreted that way, buuut... it's not really finalized.

Also I don't think trolls really have more than one moirail at a time? It doesn't say they can't, but since all the known pairs are singular, I think all their energy for the quadrant goes to one person.

Maybe Karkat has a pale crush on Kanaya? "ARE YOU DONE WITH THAT SOCIOPATH SPIDERBITCH, WILL YOU BE MINE NOW?" And she's just not that interested, too busy putting Rose on a pedestal.

Yeah, I like Kanaya<>Karkat just fine, but I'm not sure where everyone's getting the practically canon!! from? You are right that Kanaya has never officially dumped Vriska (although I'm pretty sure that it is conically implied that Vriska's pale as the moon for John so I dunno) and Karkat seems to have a hard time giving a flying fuck about his red quadrants so even if he does have a pale crush on Kanaya, I doubt it's anything he's cognizant of.

shh, shh, me too. i am all over this thread, but moiralligience is the quadrant i am most interested in and i have such long, stupid thoughts about it

The most obvious is in one of the Memo logs after (woah spoilers) Kanaya dies.
Eridan butt in and Karkat pretty much states that he's going to kill him if he ever going to see Eridan again because Karkat lost "a really close friend" or something among those lines.

Yeah, like I said Karkat's not very mindful of his red quadrants. If he was pale for Kanaya, I can see her death having been a catalyst.

Take another read through their interactions in Kanaya: Return To The Core. She confronts Karkat with his problems in dealing with other people and tries to help him be a better person. It's more or less textbook moirallegiance.

And, while you say Kanaya never "officially dumped" Vriska, she was never officially in a relationship with her in the first place. She was a friend with a crush. Vriska found her meddling annoying, and Kanaya didn't want to push it very far for fear of losing her as a friend, neither of which describe a healthy pale relationship.
