I'm really sorry you had to go through all of that, but instead of trying to record conversations IRL, I really think that you should just wipe your hands clean of this person once and for all. She/he's done nothing but bring you misery, and continuing to try and bring this person down will only hurt you even more in the end.

I don't know if you've ever watched South Park, but right now, you remind me of Kyle and that person reminds me of Cartman. Just back away, dude. You'll be better off in the end.
