Anon is really obviously forgetting the dimension cannon. That was Rose's equivalent of walking the Earth for a year, and I'm pretty sure Rose was dimension-hopping for longer (the consensus over at the Doctor/Rose meta comm seemed to be three or four years, since time in Pete's World ran ahead).

Dimension-hopping was pretty damn dangerous, too. Rose put her life at risk just as much as Martha did, and it wasn't only to find the Doctor, it was to save the Earth, because the stars were going out and she had to warn him so they could stop it. It irks me that the secretmaker has conveniently chosen to forget about the aspect of Rose that invalidates their argument.

Well she only built the canon to find the Doctor (and not saving the earth because it wasn't in need of saving at that moment.) It was only after the stars stared going out the thing actually worked.
