What about physical illness? "Cancerous", "tumorous", etc. these are used all the time. Because they mean bad things.

To be fair, I don't think I've ever heard the term tumourous. Ever. Not even when I had a tumour and the oncologist was explaining my condition to me.

The OP is making an analogy to describe how much he or she dislikes the way SPN is going, and using a comparison to a psychosis or to Schizophrenia or whatever the hell else crazy, insane, loonie, whacked, lunatic, or insane phrase the OP used to make the point seems perfectly apt with me!

If you have a crazy person in your family or you have a crazy, skitzo friend, or you yourself have been diagnosed, that's a sin and a shame, but for god's sake GET SOME HELP or something, and stop finding offense where none is meant.

So do parse this analogy for me, please. How does this show resemble bipolar disorder? Or schizophrenia? I'm impressed it manages both, so I'd love to learn how.

Or was the OP just using thoughtless modifiers that OP thought semantically equal to bad, weird, off-putting, whatever?

So....I'll take a stab. SPN is all over the place, without a plan or a clue or anyone at the helm. Kinda like a person with a mental disorder like schizophrenia. As in, LOOONEY TUNEs and making no sense at all.

First of all, it shows that they fundamentally misunderstand the what schizophrenia and bipolar even are. What the hell does mania, mood swings or hallucinations have to do with anything? If OP had used "crazy" instead I wouldn't have found that offensive, because we all know what that word means in a colloquial sense and as someone who actually has bipolar, I'm not offended by the popular use of the term "crazy". But to use "bipolar" or "schizophrenic" so flippantly as adjectives for something that clearly has nothing to do with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia just makes you look totally ignorant.

In any case, you are probably another troll and I am most likely wasting my time.

Dude. A mental illness is a bad thing. If it were a good thing, people wouldn't be trying to fix them, would they?

Admittedly there are better ways to describe the directionless plot of SPN in the past few seasons, but of all the groups to offend, at least they picked one with an actual negative trait. :|

THIS. People shouldn't be made to feel bad about their illnesses, but there's a reason that they're considered ILLNESSES that can be MEDICATED, or at least treated with therapy. People use it as an excuse ALL the time to not do anything about their problems, and then make the lives of everyone around them difficult.

OH! I thought OP meant there was a 'bipolar, schizophrenic plot' as in one of the characters was suffering from it. I was sat there like "Really? Will it all be in Sam's head or something?"

I kind of read it as that, too. Get past the wanky thoughts of "OP doesn't understand bipolar and schizophrenia are two separate disorders" and you have a very different understanding of meaning. Also, lol at it being Sam's head.
