I can't believe how much hate this comic hates. It's ironic that people fawn over anything but a work that takes time and dedication and not to mention skill (background/coloring etc) is surprising.

If you don't like it fine.

I've seen some people vehemently express their hate for such petty reasons (derpy faces and plot when it's only the third chapter and there are no time skips.

Duh, it's not worse than other comics. I agree, the story is not really creative, but the art is fine, and in colour, and they try to update weekly.
This hate is so much like "I hate Twilight, it sucks!". Pretty childish.

It's a standard yaoi story. It's not amazing, it's not horrible. It's just fucking standard. I do not understand the level of vehement hate it gets. I mean, Jesus.

I think that, for me at least, it wouldn't be such a big deal if only the fanbase wasn't so crazy about it. I have seen multiple comments praising the plot and storytelling. I'd love to know how these people define those terms, 'cause that's sure not what I'd call 'storytelling' unless the word 'non-existent' was in front of that.
