(Anonymous) 2011-07-28 08:01 pm (UTC)(link)If we're talking about medical treatment for diabetes or other diseases that can develop as a result of obesity, and the the people in question haven't taken advantage of programs that are readily and affordably made available to them, yeah, I can see where that bugs you.
If we're talking about you not even being willing to support the existence of affordable programs that teach people how to make better food choices and to exercise more frequently, or aid programs for those who have only become obese after becoming physically disabled (they do exist - my boyfriend's father is one example), then you can go fuck yourself. Sometimes the only way to solve problems like this is to put your money where your mouth is.
